We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws, pursuant to § 7 (1) DDG. Under §§ 8 to 10 DDG, however, we are not obliged as a service provider to monitor third-party information transmitted or stored, or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity.
Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is, however, only possible from the point in time at which we become aware of a specific infringement. Upon becoming aware of such infringements, we will remove the content in question without delay.
Our offering may contain links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. We therefore cannot accept any responsibility for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content. The linked pages were checked for possible legal infringements at the time of linking. No unlawful content was discernible at that time.
Permanent monitoring of the content of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon becoming aware of infringements, we will remove such links without delay.
The content and works created by the site operator on these pages are subject to German copyright law. All illustrations, images, texts and designs shown are protected by copyright. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright require the prior written consent of the author. Downloads and copies of this page are permitted for private, non-commercial use only.
Insofar as the content on this page was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. Third-party content is identified as such in particular. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please notify us accordingly. Upon becoming aware of infringements, we will remove such content without delay.
All rights in brand, product and company names used remain with their respective owners.
The following notes give a straightforward overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. Detailed information can be found in the sections below.
Who is responsible for the data collection? Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You will find their contact details in the section "Information on the controller" and in the legal notice.
How do we collect your data? Your data is collected in part because you provide it to us — for example, details you enter into the contact form or send to us by email. Other data is collected automatically when you visit the website, by the IT systems of our hosting provider (e.g. IP address, browser type, time of access).
What do we use your data for? The automatically collected data serves to provide the website free of technical faults and to keep it secure. Data you transmit to us is used solely to process your enquiry. In addition, we evaluate anonymously which pages and illustrations are viewed, in order to improve our offering — without cookies, without storing your IP address and without recognition beyond the same day. No profiling and no cross-site tracking takes place.
What rights do you have? You have the right at any time to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Details can be found in section 2.
The controller for data processing on this website is:
Walter Pepperle
Untermainkai 1
60311 Frankfurt am Main
Germany
Mobile: +49 171 1963147
Email: infopepperle.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
We are not obliged to appoint a data protection officer and have not appointed one. For questions concerning data protection, please use the contact details given above.
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose of the processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted unless other legally permissible grounds for storage exist — in particular retention periods under commercial and tax law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). In that case, deletion takes place once those grounds cease to apply.
Where processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. An informal message by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Where data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing.
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1
65189 Wiesbaden, Germany
Telephone: +49 611 1408-0
Email: poststelledatenschutz.hessen.de
Web: https://datenschutz.hessen.de
The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing, as well as a right to rectification or erasure of that data. You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data (Art. 18 GDPR). You may contact us at any time regarding this and any further questions on the subject of personal data.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL/TLS encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
We use service providers based in the USA (see sections 3 and 4). Personal data may be transferred to the USA in the process. It cannot be ruled out that US authorities may access this data for surveillance and monitoring purposes on the basis of US law, without you having remedies against this that correspond to the European level of protection. The transfer takes place on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or on the basis of standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.
The use of contact data published under the legal notice obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby objected to. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam emails.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. The provider is GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter "GitHub"), a company of Microsoft Corporation.
When you visit this website, GitHub automatically records information transmitted by your browser and stores it in what are known as server log files. These are in particular: the IP address of the accessing computer, the date and time of the server request, the name and URL of the file retrieved, the referrer URL, browser type and version, the operating system used, as well as the volume of data transferred and a message about the successful retrieval.
This data cannot be attributed by us to specific individuals and is not merged by us with other data sources. We do not evaluate this data; we have no direct access to the log files.
The collection takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in providing our website in a technically faultless, secure and efficient manner. The storage period is governed by GitHub's specifications; according to the provider, access logs are generally retained for a limited period.
GitHub processes the data in the USA. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with GitHub, incorporating the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The website is delivered via the content delivery network of GitHub Pages (technically via Fastly, Inc.). The connection data mentioned above is processed in order to deliver the content quickly and reliably and to protect the website against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
This website does not use cookies and does not employ any analytics, tracking or marketing tools. No information is stored on your device that would require consent under § 25 TDDDG. For this reason, you are not shown a cookie banner either.
The only thing stored is your explicit choice of language, if you make one — a single entry in your browser's local storage containing nothing but the language code. It is strictly necessary for the presentation you asked for and therefore exempt from consent; see the section "Language detection and language choice" for details.
This website does not embed fonts from external servers. All fonts used are delivered locally by our hosting provider. No connection to third-party servers — in particular to Google Fonts — takes place.
We use a self-operated, anonymised visitor statistic in order to evaluate the use of our website (e.g. page views, illustrations clicked, approximate region of origin). No cookies are set and no information is stored on your device in the process; the measurement is therefore not subject to consent under § 25 TDDDG.
The following is recorded, and nothing else: the type of event (e.g. page view or image click), the image or category concerned, the viewing duration, browser language, referring website (referrer), device class (mobile/desktop) as well as the country and city derived from the request. Language and device class are taken from the headers that your browser sends with every page request anyway; for the audience measurement, no information is read from your device. Independently of this, the website's language switching reads your browser's language setting — see the section "Language detection and language choice".
Your IP address is not stored. To distinguish visitors, only a short value (hash) is formed, into which — alongside the IP address — a secret key and the respective date are incorporated. This value changes daily, so that recognition across several days is ruled out. No profiling, no merging with other data sources and no cross-site tracking takes place.
The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation and improvement of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The statistics run on servers of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Cloudflare; the transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
This website is available in five languages (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian). So that you arrive at the version that suits you without a detour, a small script reads your browser's language setting (navigator.languages) when the page is loaded and redirects you once to the corresponding language version.
Only this language setting is evaluated. Your location, your IP address and your device's time zone are not taken into account — a device set to German receives the German version, even when it is abroad. The value determined is not transmitted to us and is not stored.
If you explicitly choose a version via "Language" at the bottom of the page, your browser remembers that decision in an entry in its local storage (localStorage, key pp_lang). This entry contains nothing but the language code, such as de or fr — no identifier, no date, nothing by which a visitor could be recognised. Without it, the automatic detection would override your choice again on the next page load.
Legal basis: reading the language setting and storing your explicit language choice are strictly necessary for the presentation of the website you asked for, and are therefore exempt from consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG; no cookie banner is required for this. Any further processing is based on our legitimate interest in an intelligible presentation of our offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings ("clear site data"). The automatic detection then applies again.
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, are stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
Data collected: name, email address, message text and the time of transmission. Your IP address is not stored in the process.
Legal basis: this data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your enquiry is connected with the initiation or performance of a contract. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Storage period: the data you enter into the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it or the purpose for storing it no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
Technical processing: the contact form is not operated via a third-party form service. Your enquiry is transmitted to our own application and stored there in a database that only we can access, via a password-protected login. No forwarding to third parties takes place.
This application and the associated database are operated by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA; the database is pinned to European data centres (Western Europe region). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Cloudflare; any transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Alternative means of contact: if you wish to avoid this processing, you can reach us at any time directly by email at infopepperle.de, by telephone or by post.
If you contact us by email or telephone, your enquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your enquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Our email mailboxes are operated by Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149 Cologne, Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with the provider.
For evaluating the statistics and the contact enquiries, we operate a password-protected administration area which is accessible only to us and is not part of the public offering. For security reasons, we log logins, page views with an existing session and failed login attempts there, together with the time, IP address, approximate location and browser identifier. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in securing this access against unauthorised use (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These entries are deleted automatically after 180 days. A technically necessary session cookie is set for the login; it serves solely to maintain the login and is exempt from consent under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. Visitors to the public website are not affected by this.
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
